Dorothy Conrad

Dorothy Alice Pike Conrad age 97 passed away on February 19 2011. She was born in Cleveland and lived most of her life in Brooklyn Ohio until coming to live at The Village at St. Edward Fairlawn in 2006. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Rowland Pike; her husband of 13 years Carl Conrad; her sisters Ruth Kobak and Mae Salis; and her brother Lincoln Borchik. Dorothy is survived by daughters Sharon (George Sr.) Hinton of Fairlawn Susan Herbster of Akron; dear sister-in-law Donna Borchik; Carl's daughters LaVerne (Frances) Philipps Joan (George) Barsa; former son-in-law Dave (Meredith) Herbster; grandchildren Holly Herbster Kelly (Chris) Henry Kristen (Josh) Chambers Heather (Dwight) Taylor George (Michelle) Hinton Jr Nicole (Trent) Stratton and Amanda Hinton; and 8 great-grandchildren. We wish to thank the wonderful family of caregivers at The Village at St. Edward and the compassionate care of those at the Hospice of VNS.
