Donna D'Andrea (nee Gilliland) passed away at her home in Cuyahoga Falls after a brief illness, attended by her loving family. She was born April 04,1932 in Petersburg, Indiana, the middle of 5 children. Her family moved to Akron when she was a toddler and she remained in the area for the rest of her 90 years.
She married Gino at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in 1950 and became a lifetime member. They gave birth to 11 children dedicating their lives to their family and faith. Donna lived a life of faith, hope and love. Placing her full trust in God she lived her life "Too Blessed to be stressed".
Although Gino passed away in 1983, Donna's loving attention and care for family and charity for others intensified. She made many pilgrimages including the Holy Land, Lourdes, Fatima and the Vatican where she and Gino had an audience with Saint Pope John Paul II. Over the years she spent many months as a messenger of love and hope for the people of war torn Medjugorje bringing medicine and clothing on 9 separate visits.
She brought the Eucharist to many who were home-bound, and she delivered mobile meals to the hungry. She attended many spiritual and healing conferences and retreats throughout the country. She was active in many prayer groups and until her health interfered, Donna attended daily mass always bringing others with her to church.
