DeLisle (Dee) Mancari, 94, went to her heavenly home after passing away peacefully at Summa Hospital on June 20th, with family by her side. She leaves behind her children Nancy (Wayne) and Michael (MayLy); grandchildren Tiffany (Nate), Preston (Emily), Vince (Jenna), Jordan (Cara), Justin (Ashley); Denise (Kirk), and Kyle (Brisa); great-grandchildren Liam; Saoirse, Cormac, Frankie, Ellie, Celeste, Jano, and James; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Jim.
Dee was born and lived in West Virginia until the family moved to Ohio in 1970. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker through the years, she chose to work outside the home only after both their children were grown. Dee served in several positions at N. Canton Medical Foundation until retiring in 2007 after 30 years. She was a Christ-follower from an early age and was a long-time member of
Canton Bethel Temple. Dee displayed her servant's heart in many ways: played piano for worship, sang duets with Jim, served in women's ministry, and sang in the choir, just to name a few. She was always concerned for the needs of her family and friends and made it a priority to pray for them.
Besides her commitment to Christ, nothing was more important to her than her family. She loved to be with and entertain them and her friends too. Dee was a great host and would always have a delicious meal ready, including a delicious dessert.
Following Jim's passing, she bravely continued on but dearly missed the love of her life. Her greatest joy to the very end was her family, including watching her digital picture frame filled with photos of them, which kept her company.
A special thanks to the staff of Brookdale Montrose for their loving service to Dee the last 3+ years and for Summa Hospital and Hospice for their compassionate care.
