David P. Moyers, a longtime resident of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on June 26, 1950, and was a cherished father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.

David was a knowledgeable and dedicated salesman at Grainger for 35 years. He also spent time serving in the Army National Guard. He loved spending his free time fishing, and above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved.

David will be missed dearly, especially by his son, Joshua.

Calling hours will be held at Hummel Funeral Home in Fairlawn on August 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Jeannette Moyers; his brothers, Stephen and Nelson; and his sister, Lois. David is survived by his son, Josh (Susan); his granddaughters, Holly and Tessa; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other family and friends.
