Dann Ashcraft was born on May 28th, 1988. He passed unexpectedly on the morning of May 16th, 2024. Dann passed doing what he loved - going fast in a car he enjoyed. Throughout Dann's life he was a collector of every type of motor: from cars to chainsaws, boats to motorcycles, there wasn't a motor that he didn't push to its limits. Dann lived each day like a race against himself. He continuously found ways to make himself better, faster, and stronger. As hard as he pushed himself, he motivated others, the same way our dad did for us. His favorite part of owning his own business was that he used it to create opportunities for those that he believed in. Dann wanted to see the people around him succeed. He cared for others because he loved when people felt cared for. Dann learned the joy that comes from loving others from his best friends, family, mom, Grandma Gert, his dog Hank, Uncle Ted, and sister Adrienne. Our family's relentless optimism saw each day as a new day. Dann always said "There's no such thing as a bad day, you can only have bad parts of a day. The rest is up to you." To live in my brother's eternal memory means cracking a smile and a joke when things become difficult, pushing yourself to succeed when the odds are stacked against you, and getting chicken wings wherever you go.
