Charles J. Szeles, 94, of Akron died January 24, 2021. Born June 3, 1926 to Michael and Katherine (Nemeth) Szeles of Akron.
Charles, a life resident of Akron, graduated from West High School class of ’44 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany and France during WWII achieving the rank of Corporal. After the war he founded Kent Plumbing and Heating with partner Tom Smith. He married his sweetheart Mary (David) and celebrated 67 years before her death in 2018. He was a member of St. Sebastian Church, The Plumbers Union and The Quad Dance Club.
In addition to his parents and wife Mary, he was preceded in death by his brother William (Earlene). He is survived by his children David, Richard (Linda), Marlene Gaino (David), three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Sebastian Church. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
