Carol Ann Porter

Carol Ann Porter, age 79, passed away on May 16, 2026. She was born on July 24, 1946 in Cleveland to the late Palmer and Mildred Nielsen. Carol was a graduate of Lakewood High School and Kent State University. She retired from First Energy after 36 years of dedicated service as a Senior Customer Service Representative. Carol enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble on the computer and dining out. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol was a kind and loving person that others enjoyed being around.

Preceded in death by her brother, David Sherry; she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Edward; children, Katie Nemeth, Christopher Lucas and Denise (Richard) Porter; grandchildren, Tyler Poling, Brooklyn Nemeth, Christina Mathews and Madison Mathews; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Susan (Charles) Moll; brothers, Charles (Carole) Nielsen and Thomas Nielsen and many nieces and nephews.
