View Memorial Photo TributeBETTY JANE SAMPLE (nee Whitney) Jane Sample 90 of Cuyahoga Falls died June 10 2008 at Heather Knoll. She was born on November 6 1917 in Akron. Jane was employed by Ohio Bell as a telephone operator until she became a supervisor later in her career. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Richard and Carl Whitney. Jane is survived by her loving family: brother Dan (Gayle) Whitney nephew Rick Whitney; niece Cindy (Bill) Howard; nephew Greg (Jan) Whitney; niece Debby (Brian) Porter; Adeline Whitney; Hazel Soulsby; and numerous other friends and family members. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday June 13 2008 at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St with Pastor Larry Shaw officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Heather Knoll Nursing Home.
