Barbara Ciarrochi

Barbara passed away peacefully at home with her dog by her side on Dec.3. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Akron and a 1958 graduate of St. Vincent High School. She worked for many years at Snyder Gallery of Floors. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Katherine Snyder brother Joseph Snyder and the love of her life Raymond A. Ciarrochi. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Janet K. Smith (Robert) of Uniontown Joyce H. Thompson (Thomas) of Tallmadge Joseph M. Ciarrochi (Dawn) of Akron brothers Robert Snyder of Akron and William Snyder (Barbara) of North Carolina sister Kathy Batchik (Dennis) of Arizona grandchildren Kory and Kelcie Smith Angie Ciarrochi Ashley (Ciarrochi) Syroid (Mike) Nick Thompson and sister-in-law Agnes Dixon (William). She also leaves her special nieces Kelly Casto (Batchik) Christine Batchik her extended family Chris and Tammy Callahan and children plus many other nieces nephews and friends. She will always be known for her love of family strong faith stylish dressing and a keen eye for decorating. She was known to all and loved by many. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association in lieu of flowers. The family will receive friends Friday December 6 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. A memorial mass will be held Saturday December 7 10:00 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church 2580 Benton St. Akron. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
