Barbara Bala

Barbara J. Bala, age 95, passed away on March 1, 2023. She was born on November 14, 1927 in Salem, Ohio to the late Raymond and Elsie Mae Fawcett. Barbara married Merile Bala and he preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by two children, Jerry Bala, and Penny Kungle; brothers, Bob, Ray, and Terry.

Barbara is survived by her children, Vickie (Jim) Bickett and Kathy (Paul) Bala-Rothschild; grandchildren, Tracy Stuchal, Sheree Bala, Jay Bickett, Melissa Bickett, Thomas Bickett, Brittany Kungle Ilibasic , and Kendra Bala-Rothschild.

Barbara participated in a variety of sports and activities in her younger years. She even competed and won the Firestone Decathlon in 1948. As she slowed down, Barbara was an avid golfer and lover of euchre, these were a big part of her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Barbara on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM at the Moose Lodge, 250 31st Street NW (Cleveland-Massillon Rd.) Barberton, 44203.
