Arlene Copen

Arlene "Kay" Copen, age 80, passed away on September 7, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1943 in Akron to the late Luther Linard and Gladys Fulton Steidl. She loved crafting, ceramics, making dolls and baking. Kay loved being a mother to her three children and especially loved her grandchildren. She had many friends that became like family to her.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Copen; parents, Luther Linard, Gladys Steidl and step father, George Steidl; brother, Dean Linard; she is survived by children, Robert (Michelle), Darla, Michael (Wendy); grandchildren, Robert Benjamin, Christy "Chris", Evan, Broc (Calista) Minne' and Liberty Minne'; brother, Gary Steidl; sister-in-law, Nancy Loudermilk.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd Copley, Ohio, where friends may visit one hour prior. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norton Firemen's Association, 3380 Greenwich Rd., Norton, OH 44203, in memory of Robert and Kay Copen.
