Anton Urh

Anton "Tony" Urh, age 83, passed away on October 22, 2025. Born in Slovenia, Tony emigrated to the United States on November 29, 1967, and made his home in Richfield, Ohio, where he lived most of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Karen (nee Smith); daughters Jennifer Burke (Tom) and Kristin Wilson (Kirk); cherished grandchildren Nora, Lillian, and Henry Burke, and Zachary Wilson; sister Boža Bubnič of Slovenia; and many nieces and nephews.

A skilled carpenter, avid hunter, and devoted hobby beekeeper, Tony took great pride in his craftsmanship and found joy in nature and the simple pleasures of life. His quiet strength, hard work, and love for his family will be remembered always.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, October 26, at Hummel Funeral Home, 2800 West Market Street in Fairlawn. A funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Monday, October 27, also at Hummel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Slovenian National Home.
