Anne Pierson

Anne C. Pierson left us on August 6, 2021 after a long struggle with traumatic brain injuries. She was a beacon to her family and friends, showing good humor, acting with kindness, and demonstrating compassion until the very end.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Mary Helen, and beloved sister, Susan. Anne is survived by her siblings, Marshall (Julia), Jack (Jan), David (Karen), Mary (Bill Bordages), Michael (Ginny) and Rob (Val); 22 nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Anne was a 1976 Our Lady of the Elms graduate, where she established many lasting friendships. She continued her education, obtaining her BA, Psychology and BS, Nursing from Kent State University. Anne worked professionally in a variety of healthcare roles in the greater Cleveland area. She was fond of her intensive care unit role at University Hospitals.

Anne enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, and beach combing. A lifelong resident of northeast Ohio, she was passionate about her sports teams, especially the Browns! However, her greatest love was reserved for her parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd., Stow, followed by internment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Anne's remembrance will take place on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 2 to 5 PM at Our Lady of the Elms, 1375 W Exchange St, Akron.
