Alma Tonkin

Alma Viola Tonkin 91 of Wadsworth died January 13 2007 at The Inn at Medina. Alma was born on October 26 1915 in Johnstown PA. She was a member of Copley UMC and she loved music playing her piano and organ and quilting. Alma was preceded in death by her husband Percy Tonkin; parents Mamie and Daniel Smith; siblings Margaret Mays Harriet Ellis Lincoln Smith Edward Smith Marian Leffel Daniel Smith Wilma Saffles Arlis Murrell and Doris Blair. She is survived by her daughter Shirley (David) Brewer; grandchildren Kimberly (Ronald) Michalec Robin (Erik) Flickinger and David Brewer II; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; siblings Ethel Austin Audrey Payne Della Lemmon and Charles Smith. Alma's family was the most important thing to her and they will all miss her greatly. The family wishes to thank the staff at AlterCare of Wadsworth and Hospice of Medina Cty. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 16 2007 10 AM at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. Interment in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Becki Bowan Verbridge officiating.
