Alan Victor Savoy died January 31, 2022 from Covid-19.
Born August 4, 1968 in Garfield Heights, Ohio, Alan graduated from Norton High School in 1986. He attended Case Western Reserve University, and graduated from the University of Akron (B.A. magna cum laude).
Alan owned a kitchen and bath remodeling company and loved working with his hands. He also loved motorcycles and racing, achieving national ranking in 1990. He enjoyed traveling, exploring Canada and the Western US by motorcycle. He enjoyed hiking and biking in the metro parks, and regularly played volleyball, wallyball and racquetball.
Preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Hayes; he is survived by his parents Peter Savoy and Elizabeth Hecht; brothers Jerry of Houston, TX; Ed of Norton, OH and Andrew (Autumn) of Santa Cruz, California; nieces Kara and Hannah, and nephew Luciel. He is also survived by his best friend of many years, Jim Hassan (Niki).
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will occur at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the Summit Metro Parks Foundation.
