Lawrence (Larry) Joseph Kolar, age 62, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Kolar. He is survived by his mother Colene Beckett, brothers Dan (Elaine) Kolar, Gregory Kolar, Brien Kolar, Marty Kolar, Andrew Kolar, Phillip (Tammy) Kolar. Close companion Deborah Kolar, sons Douglas (Ashley) Dunwald, Andrew (Brooke) Kolar, and daughter Katie (Ryan) Riley, grandchildren Grace, Grady, Rosalind, Griffin, Graham, Sullivan, Maura, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Larry was born on July 28, 1958 in Barberton, Ohio to Frank and Colene Kolar. He graduated Norton High school in 1976 and was a lifelong Concrete Finisher. Whether it was woodworking or silversmithing there was never a moment he wasn’t finishing a project or beginning a new one. If he loved anything more than working with his hands, it was giving unconditionally to his beloved grandchildren. When he wasn’t gifting one of them his latest labors of love he was spending time with them or leaving them surprises to brighten their day. In the summer, he was always ready to have his boat on the water to take his children and grandchildren fishing or having cookouts with his brothers and friends. During his last days, he simply enjoyed the company of his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 11th at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Barberton Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
